What we do on facades
The facade protects the house from the weather. When the render cracks, flakes off or lets in damp, it pays to renovate before the damage reaches the masonry. We check the condition and suggest what is needed.

Weather and season
Render and paint need dry weather and temperatures above five degrees. We plan the work so that it doesn’t run into the frost.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a permit?
Usually not for repainting in the same colour. For a new colour or texture, the municipality may have a say. We clarify this with you.
How long will the scaffolding be up?
For a single-family house, usually two to four weeks, depending on the scope and the weather.
Is a new coat of paint enough?
Often yes, if the render is sound. Hollow or badly cracked areas have to be repaired first.
Can I insulate at the same time?
Yes. External insulation or thermal insulating plaster makes the house more energy-efficient. The canton of Zurich offers subsidies for this.
