Core drilling through concrete and masonry.

We drill wet and dry, from 18 to 350 millimetres in diameter, for pipes, ventilation and service penetrations. In Mönchaltorf, Uster, Zurich and across the Zurich Oberland.

At a glance

  • Ø 18–350 millimetres in diameter
  • Wet or dry, depending on the room
  • Concrete reinforced concrete and masonry
  • Milling concrete milling on request

What we drill for

A core drill cuts a clean, round hole without smashing the wall around it. The diamond core bit works with little vibration. That is kinder to the masonry and to the neighbours.

  • Water, waste water and heating
  • Ventilation, cooker hoods and home ventilation systems
  • Electrical and cable penetrations
  • Pipes for heat pumps and air conditioning
  • Drains and drainage

Wet or dry

Wet drilling

Water cools the core bit and binds the dust. This is how we drill concrete and reinforced concrete. We collect the drilling water and vacuum it up.

Dry drilling

Where water must not go, in occupied rooms or next to electrical installations, we drill dry with dust extraction. We agree with you beforehand which method suits.

How it works

From your enquiry to a clean wall. For small jobs a photo is often enough. For bigger ones we come and look.

  1. Enquiry

Send us a photo of the wall, the diameter and the wall thickness if you know it.

  2. Assessment and quote

We check where pipes and reinforcement run and whether a structural engineer needs to be involved. Then you get a binding quote.

  3. Drilling

We cover the work area, set up the drilling rig and drill with the right diamond bit.

  4. Clean-up

We vacuum up the drilling water and slurry and take the cores away. You can carry on working straight away.

Frequently asked questions

How much does core drilling cost?

The price depends on diameter, wall thickness, material, reinforcement and access. Send us a photo and the dimensions and you’ll get a binding quote.

Can I drill through a load-bearing wall?

For load-bearing walls and ceilings, depending on position and size, you need the go-ahead from a structural engineer. We’ll tell you during the assessment when that is needed.

How much mess is there?

Wet drilling creates hardly any dust. We cover things up first, collect the drilling water and leave the area clean.

Do you drill larger than 350 mm?

We take on larger diameters and concrete milling on request. Just tell us briefly what you need.
